Patriotic motor rally "Roads of Memory" "rolled" through Voronezh

A unique event "Roads of Memory" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory "rolled" across Voronezh on the eve of May 9. Thus, as part of the project, the pilots of the LADA Sport ROSNEFT racing team Kirill Ladygin, Mikhail Mityaev and Leonid Panfilov visited the capital of the Black Earth Region, which became the sixth point of the Victory route. Previously, the racers stopped in such cities of military glory as Tula, Kaluga, Bryansk and Orel. The rally started on May 2 in the capital. The last location of the route will be the hero city of Volgograd.

The team arrived in Voronezh from Orel by 11 a.m. on their spirited "iron horses" from the domestic "AvtoVAZ". Despite the "rainy" forecasts of weather forecasters, the city greeted the "wheels of memory" with bright sunshine, blooming lilacs and incredible warmth.

The champions were greeted with thunderous applause – the Voronezh residents were really looking forward to the team. First – an autograph session, a photo with the racers, and then friendly communication.

The racers shared not only road stories, but also presented guests with St. George ribbons – as a symbol of memory and gratitude. The event was literally permeated with respect for the great feat of the past and the energy of future victories.

According to the rally participants, the capital of the Black Earth Region amazed them with its scale – the city with a population of one million pleasantly surprised them with its wide roads, new buildings and rapidly developing infrastructure.

– The last time I was in Voronezh was in 2002. Today it is simply unrecognizable. I tried to visually catch at least one familiar place, but I never succeeded. Literally everything has changed here – roads, junctions, houses, infrastructure. The scale of the city simply amazed me. I was pleasantly surprised! – said racer Leonid Panfilov.

The team's fans also shared their joy at meeting the racing drivers.

- When we learned about the "Roads of Memory" campaign, we immediately rushed to meet our heroes. The idea, in my opinion, is simply excellent. The best racers of the country are here in Voronezh on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory! - Andrey, a fan of the team, shared his impressions.

Then the "Roads of Memory" led the champions to the Monument of Glory, where the pilots laid flowers at one of the main memorials of the city. For a minute, the racers were silent, paying tribute to the memory of those who bravely defended the city to the last drop of blood 80 years ago.

Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Voronezh Region Svetlana Stepantsova noted that such events are actively promoted in our region and, as a rule, are included in the main tourist guide of the region.

- Such events are very important for our region. We are grateful to the representatives of Rosneft for their pleasure in supporting our initiative and helping to hold the motor rally, - said Svetlana Stepantsova.

In turn, the General Director of JSC Voronezhnefteprodukt (part of PJSC NK Rosneft) Igor Perelygin stated that the company will continue to support such events, since such events help develop auto tourism in Russia.

– In 2023, we launched the platform “Horizons of Russia: Come with Us!” This is a digital service for planning automobile tourist routes. It is noteworthy that the platform’s navigation functionality allows interesting locations to become stops on the route, which the autotourist can change or add to at any time during the trip. We already have 14 developed routes in our arsenal – federal and regional.

Our plans include continuing productive cooperation with the region, holding promotions and special events for car travelers, the company’s director shared.
